Still Alive was built on a fundamental principle: your safety should never require surveillance. We are a privacy tool that operates without requesting, storing, or sharing your GPS location. We collect only the minimum necessary to ensure your safety signal works when you need it most.
1. Zero Location Tracking
We do not request, access, or store your GPS location at any time. The system does not know where you are in the world; it only monitors whether you have confirmed you are okay within the defined timeframe.
2. Minimal Data Collection
For our automatic safety net to function (even if your phone is off or has no signal), we store only:
- Signal Records (Check-ins): Only the time you tapped the app to reset the timer.
- Trusted Contacts (Angels): The contact information you registered is stored in an encrypted format on our remote system. This is necessary for the server to automatically trigger the alert if your time runs out and your phone cannot send the signal.
- Anonymous Crash Reports: Basic technical data to ensure system stability.
3. Exclusive Use and Security
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Access to your Angels' information is restricted to the automated alert dispatch system. Our only source of revenue is the one-time payment for the app license.
4. Right to be Forgotten and Deletion
You have full control over your data. Account deletion and all associated records (signal history and Angel contacts) can be done at any time:
- Through the App: Settings > Delete Account.
- By Email: Request sent to suporte@stillaliveapp.com.
Data is permanently removed from our servers within 48 hours of the request.
